Updated: Apr 28, 2020

  • Step 1> Get a compost bin or even better create one with recycled material like palletts, old wood etc.

  • Step 2> Gather your compostable kitchen scraps (pellings, egg shells, cardboard, teabags etc.) and green waste from your garden (leaves, grass cuttings, twigs, weeds..)

  • Step 3> Toss it in the compost bin and mix with a fork often for ventilation

  • Step 4> Keep composting and mixing with a balance of green (grass cuttings, leaves, weeds) and brown (wood chip, twigs, cardboard, dried leaves)

  • Step 5> Harvest your black gold in a few months and use it to grow your own food and to fertilize your garden organically
